Internship Reflection

As I reflect on the skills and knowledge that I have learned in the past year and a half, I have become more skilled at seeing courses through the learners eyes.  I have seen that engaging the learner in activities that allow them to feel comfortable in their courses gives the leaner tools to be successful.  When I started my Masters, I was unsure which path I wanted to take.  When I took the courses on instructional design framework, I knew right away that was the path for me.  I am glad that I have the ability to design a course that the learners feel included.  I have learned multiple types of learning styles, as well how to design courses using those styles.  I have found that the WisCom framework fits well with many courses and I want to use that as much as possible in all of the courses I design in the future.  Using this design framework utilizes the ability to know a group of learners and the curriculum can be adjusted to maximize their learning.  I have learned that all courses are not “one size fits all” and this allows for helping the learner succeed.
